Prefabricated drawing and connection pits

       LEGRAND Company took out a patent of prefabricated pits in 1985. They are used for all types of cables shunt and joining.
 
This product, which is easy to assemble and dismantle, convinced the SNCF (French Railways Network) thanks to the time saving for its application, and to its adaptability during maintenance work. Moreover, it constitutes an innovation as far as environment is concerned, since it does not leave any waste, unlike the traditional cable pits, which are poured on the spot. Furthermore, it is not subjected to constraints when freezing.
   

                                                  
Since 2002, Legrand has been proposing a new range of Modular Cables Pits in recycled and recyclable PS (polystyrene) elements. Such pits are covered by a European patent.
