Legrand
was confided by the ‘Compagnie du vent’ firm, the
Grande Garrigue wind farm’s electrical connection to the EDF
(French Electricity Board) network (10 Km of mechanized laying).
Such
connection was achieved in two phases: the seven wind energy
converters of the southern part were connected in December, while
the eleven ones of the northern part were connected in January.
Before functioning, five checks has been made:
- connection cable test,
- delivery post switch on test,
- wind farm’s medium-voltage switch on test,
- wind farm’s functioning test,
- remote management and aeronautical beacons.
