The following realizations reveal the Company's dynamism and strategy since
its setting up.
Technological
innovations
In
1985: patent registration for the Prefabricated Drawing and Connection
Pits, which convinced the SNCF for their easy installation.
In
2001: patent registration of a MIAL spatial structure for long spans,
with few supports. The aim is to open new market outlooks.
In
2002: new patent registration for Modular Cables Pits in recycled
polystyrene (PS) elements, in order to lighten and considerably
improve the pits installing.
Technical
evolution of the works machines in order to win precision and productivity.
Organisation
innovations
The
Company has been structured into Production Groups to have a flexible
organisation for an efficient presence on all markets gaps.
LEGRAND
Company chose to keep its collaborators, inviting the interested ones
to invest in the shareholding.
The
Company also knew how to delegate organisation and safety responsibilities
to more than 80 executives.
The
firm also chose to look for skilled personnel, creating departments
allowing to face new imperatives: computer, legal, quality, and prices
study departments.
Activities
orientation
The
company has invested in new activities in order to be able to face
the future challenges: Measurements,
control and joining of optical fibres cables. Creation
of a Telecom Engineering department. Creation
of an Export department. Boosting
of the ‘street lighting’ activity in 2003.
